2005-06-13 [Whim]: Yes. It’s an accurate comparison, Tear, believe it or not. In Episode 1, the members of the senate were pretty much of equal power. Gradually, Palpatine, through his charismatic and manipulative ways, managed to gain a little extra power and authority in the senate. Then he gained a little more. Then he gained a little more. Then before anyone realized what had happened, everyone is cheering for him as he become emporer of the galaxy.

2005-06-13 [Whim]: Tear, I AM making light of the situation because everyone else is overreacting to a point. As for hedda and sunrose caring about this uproar--they probably don’t. They have little or nothing to do with the EPI. In fact, when the EPI was first conceived, they were skeptical about it lasting. Now, the way things are going, it looks like they might have been right--even if the failure was a bit delayed. But it doesn’t have to be like that. Calm down and think about making the EPI a good e-zine. Politics will not help the EPI.

2005-06-13 [Whim]: If there was a problem with their being a boss before, it may have been that the boss showed too much authority. There should still be a boss, but that boss kind of needs to be an enjoyable one. Delly, from what I’ve seen, is a fine leader. My only complaint might be that she wouldn’t step in to put people in their place--which was why kate was beneficial. Don’t waste time trying to form a utopia. Leave things as they are and fix the EPI’s problems. The problems are not in leadership. The problems are in production. Everyone is tossing out ideas about how to form better leadership, but no one is stepping up with any ideas for the EPI.
